Making seashell ornaments
Gather seashells of all different sizes to make your seashell ornaments. Once you’ve decided on the shells that you’re going to use, carefully drill a hole in the top of each shell with a craft drill. Try not to press too hard—seashells can be fragile. But it will all be worth it when you see your lovely seashell ornaments! While you’re drilling, turn on a hot glue gun and let it warm up.
If you have ribbon or other decorations, to use on your seashell ornaments, now is the time to gather them together. Place a dot of hot glue on the front of the seashell, and glue one of your decorations on the front of your seashell ornaments. Press gently until the glue sets—this can take about a minute. Do this for all of the shells you’d like to turn into seashell ornaments.
Once you have the decorations glued onto your shells, you’re ready to add the ribbon. Take a five inch piece of ribbon and thread it through the hole in the top of the shell. Tie the ends of the ribbon together. You’ll be surprised at how beautiful seashell ornaments can enhance your holiday season! There’s no reason to have a boring holiday season!
