 | |  Gift Sand Dollars Holiday Ornaments During This Holiday Season!We’re all a bit strapped for cash this holiday season, but we still want to gift the people we care about with meaningful gifts. Sand dollars are beautiful and very affordable at QualityShells.com, so it only makes sense that they should be part of your holiday gift giving! One of our favorite holiday craft gifts are sand dollars ornaments – they’re easy to create and so much fun to customize.
Sand Dollars Ornaments Supplies:
- 3” Sand Dollars
- Thin, shiny ribbon in any color
- Calligraphy pen or medium-tipped marker
- Gold and silver shimmer dust
- Small piece of silk ivy or holly
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Sand Dollars Ornaments Instructions:
1. Visit your local craft store and purchase the shimmer dust, greenery, marker, and ribbon. Most sand dollars ornaments feature red, gold, or green ribbon to keep the ornament looking festive, but pretty purples and blues also look great!
2. Navigate on over to our 3” Sand Dollars and choose the amount of sand dollars you’d like to craft! They’re less than $1 each, so you’ll be on your way to creating a pretty gift that doesn’t cost a fortune in no time.
3. Plan out what you’ll be writing on each sand dollar. We suggest personalizing each ornament for the recipient, and writing their name, a festive message, and a “Crafted By…” message on the back of the sand dollar.
4. Once you’ve written your message on each sand dollar, add some hot glue to the sand dollar and sprinkle the shimmer dust over it.
5. Using hot glue, affix the greenery on the sand dollar, being careful to avoid covering up the upper hole in the sand dollar.
6. Loop the ribbon through the top hole in the sand dollar, and secure with a small, tight knot.
