Seashells and Candles
One of our favorite things to do with seashells is to spruce up some candles. It's a fun way to add a little bit of beachy-feel to your décor. Just grab a glass tray and some pillar candles, and you're just about ready to go. With seashells and some sand, you can have a fun centerpiece in no time. Place the candles on the tray and then put an even layer of sand around them. Don't go too deep with the sand— you need to leave room for the seashells! If you have a larger shell that you want to show off, put that one down first. Then arrange the other smaller shells around it. Start at the base of each candle, and work your way outward. Imagine how gorgeous that would be for a beach-themed party, wedding, or dining room!
Baskets, Bowls, and Shelves
The easiest way to decorate with your seashells is to arrange them in baskets and bowls. This looks especially nice on a shelf or side table. Just make sure you keep your basket proportional to the size and number of seashells you want to display. Make a base with larger seashells, and put smaller and prettier seashells on the top. It's a beautiful way to display your shells inside!
Picture Frames
You might need to get a little crafty for this one. (But it sure is fun!) Get a nice wooden picture frame to start with. It can be finished or unfinished— it depends on the look you're going for. Then choose some seashells that you want to use to decorate it. It's probably a good idea to do this seashell craft on a table covered in newspaper so that you don't make a mess. You can arrange your seashells all the way around the frame, or you can focus on just the corners. It's up to you. Once you've decided exactly where the seashells will go, you can go ahead and use a hot glue gun to affix them to the picture frame. Let the frame sit overnight before you put it out on display. It's such a fun way to display vacation pictures.
