The Legend of the Crucifix Fish is a beautiful story of the Lord choosing the Sail Catfish to ensure we remember Christ dying for our sins, and act in his blessed name each and every day of our lives. The beautiful detailing of the Sail Catfish’s bones, often called simply a Sailcat, do indeed remind one of Christ on the crucifix, and has been a much loved poem and fish bone for generations, making it a perfect gift for a loved one, or to hand out to parishioners or bible study groups.
