Cowrie shells have been a long time favorite to the crafters of the world because they come in so many different colors and sizes and are so bright, shiny and have so many different patterns. Most cowries are so polished and bright that they often look like they have a porcelain finish on them. There're also very popular to make seashell jewelry with.
The Snakehead Cowries are a highly polished shell on both sides. They are pretty uniform in size, shape and color as you can see in the image. They currently are running about the size of a half dollar.
Sold by the pint, there are approximately 65 shells per pint bag.
It's amazing how much some of these actually look like patterns on a deer. There're highly polished and almost look like porcelain. They are very uniform in size and shape. The color is also pretty uniform but the white spots vary from one to the as you can see in the picture.
Our Deer Cowrie Seashells are sold individually.
